Stasy

With all the things we carry around sometimes, we get lost in all our stuff. Sometimes we just need a moment to pack our back. With a NFC reader you can “check in” you stuff. Interactive Picture Frame

An assignment with the focus on research and UX design tools. We had to make a small interaction between a user and a technical system. My target group was: people in long distance relationships. I did qualitative interviews with two people and held a quantitative survey on a expats (people who are abroad for study or work ) website. From there I made several UX design research tools: Persona, customer journey, mental models. With those, I designed an interactive picture frame. It would display a picture of a loved one. And with a hand gesture, their face would come closer. In this way, the user would feel a little bit closer to their loved one. The frame would also allow gifs instead of still pictures and could also play sounds.

SsookSsook

SsookSsook is an app for creating a better food environment for children and their parents. SsookSsooks are little creatures that the children have to feed by scanning in real life products. The app recognizes food packaging and knows what it in it. If the child only feeds their pet junk food it will get sick and eventually die. This is the product of the Living lab Game Jam 2017 at the HKU. Together with Korean students, we worked for a week on the topic: “The food environment of the future” Our team with this app won the prize for “Best Design” and “Best Gameplay” After the game jam, we were allowed to work on our projects for another 7 weeks. Were we polished and expand our game.

UX Tool

My tool is a heat map which would map the physical interaction with the product. A lot of the tools are for mapping the emotions of the user. And we forget how the user is actually interacting with the product:
